Analisis Kemampuan Numerik Ditinjau dari Intelligence Quotient (IQ) Siswa Kelas VIII SMP

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan numerik ditinjau dari Intelligence Quotient (IQ) siswa kelas VIII SMP pada materi pola bilangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Angkona dengan Intelligence Quotient (IQ) yang berkategori normal rendah, normal sedang, dan normal tinggi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Penelitian ini juga digunakan instrumen pendukung yaitu; (1) tes kemampuan numerik, (2) angket Intelligence Quotient (IQ), dan (3) wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengana analisis kualitatif dimana peneliti melakukan reduksi terhadap data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan numerik siswa dengan kategori normal rendah belum mencapai indikator kemampuan numerik, kemampuan numerik siswa dengan kategori normal sedang yaitu terletak pada indikator peserta didik melakukan penjumlahan dan peserta didik melakukan perhitungan sederhana matematika, dan kategori normal tinggi yaitu terletak pada indikator peserta didik mampu melakukan penjumlahan.
